After being decommissioned in the 1990s, the chiller found a new mission in Minnesota. There, it spent the next 30 years cooling a U.S. government-contracted computer chip manufacturing facility. Its job was mission-critical: maintain exact temperatures and ensure uninterrupted performance for sensitive chip testing and production.
Now in 2025, we’ve given this legendary chiller a new lease on life. Fully remanufactured by JC Younger and ETL listed, it’s been modernized to meet today’s standards while retaining the rugged durability that once made it a staple in high-stakes environments.
