New Chiller Styles at J.C. Younger

Commercial building owners in the dairy, poultry industry, pharmaceutical, brewing, and construction industries, to name but a few, depend on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers to support a safe temperature environment for workers, animals, products, and countless other types of materials. Often, the chillers are only needed for a specific amount of time during construction, when repairs to a site are necessary, or when cargo arrives that needs to be refrigerated.

That’s where J.C. Younger comes into the picture. JCY knows what your workplace needs and has a variety of chillers that can fit the bill. The J.C. Younger Company likes to be on the cutting edge of the chiller industry. For that reason, they keep up-to-date with the best and most well-made products to serve businesses that need to rent chillers. In fact, currently, the company has four new models that are ready to rent and happen to be state-of-the-art.

JCY is family-owned and has been in operation since 1956, so they know a few things about chillers. The company is ELT-listed and tested to UL standards. Located in Minneapolis, the business seeks to set themselves apart from other similar companies and bases their day-to-day activities on these factors:

  • high morals
  • strong work ethic
  • providing personal service
  • a complete disclosure of all costs

The company serves many types of businesses, such as:

  • food industry
  • plastic manufacturers
  • the medical field
  • oil extraction/dewaxing
  • printing companies, and more

The JCY team purchases gently used chillers (reciprocating only) and puts them through a remanufacturing process to ensure they have been thoroughly repaired, tested, flushed, and cleaned to the company’s high standards. Often, these “just like new” chillers become part of JCY’s rental brigade.

J.C. Younger is ready to assist your business and takes great pride in providing top-notch products and excellent customer service. Call us for more information.

Sandy has been in the background of JCY since a baby, growing up playing on chiller systems in the large 12,000SQFT pole shed JCY stores units in. Sandy started working at a young age doing simple tasks like sweeping, painting, organizing Copper fittings and other small tasks. In 2005 Sandy started his 4 year degree at Dunwoody College and graduated in 2007.

During his schooling their he also started his apprenticeship under his fathers supervision. The training consisted of installs of glycol piping in the field, building first chiller and assisting with Chiller service repairs. In 2006 he started learning the in and outs of breweries, and has been JCY’s brewery specialist since then. A challenge he took on was glycol piping a 30 bbl brewery by him self and completed that task in less than 20 day with 16 hour shifts.
